8 essential items for fishing

Traditional fishing is a popular leisure activity. But without special equipment, the process of fishing becomes difficult. Agree, being away from home without the right things is not a very pleasant prospect. When going outdoors, do not forget to put all the attributes associated with your favorite business in a backpack.

Fishing gear

Tackle is the most important fishing gear. Their choice depends on how fishing will be carried out:

  • standard float rod;
  • lap fishing rod;
  • professional spinning;
  • net or landing net.

Do not forget to take the necessary equipment for the rod: nozzles, reels, hooks, fishing line, spinners, float, etc. There should be a stand for the fishing rod, as well as a container for storing the catch (tarpaulin or rubber bucket).

Bait and bait

As bait, earthworms or dung worms, maggots, bloodworms, larvae of flies and other insects are suitable. They have a minimum shelf life, so they should be collected on the eve of fishing. When catching large individuals use leeches and frogs. Some types of fish peck on products of home origin - bread, flour, potatoes. Do not forget about bait - crackers, seeds, ready-made mixtures and odor fluids are sold in all specialized stores. Bait and bait should be stored in closed metal cans.

Tools

Your backpack should have a place for tools with which you can cut something or fix it.

A set of tools for fishing includes:

  • knife;
  • pliers;
  • hatchet;
  • screwdrivers;
  • awl;
  • file;
  • scissors;
  • electrical tape.

To catch fish from a boat, you need to stock up on details in case of breakage, a life jacket, oars, an anchor, a rope and a supply of gasoline. If the process is from the shore, take a foam pad or folding chair - you are unlikely to want to spend the whole day on your feet.

Your backpack must have a place for tools

Tourist equipment

Camping equipment is needed for those who plan to go fishing for a few days. Think about where you will sleep: in a tent, sleeping bag or blanket bag. If there is no navigator, take a compass and a map of the area. In the backpack there should be a place for personal hygiene products (soap, towel, toilet paper, toothbrush).

Put a needle and thread, a flashlight with a spare set of batteries in a waterproof chest bag. If you are planning to make a bonfire, you will need paper and matches. In case of rain, you can grab an umbrella or raincoat. Be sure to bring money, a phone and a charger to it, as well as a document proving your identity (passport, driver's license).

Clothes and shoes

The fisherman's outfit must be comfortable and functional. Make sure that it meets the weather conditions - in the summer it allowed to transfer heat and saved from insects, and in the winter it kept warm and protected from the wind.

An ideal option would be a jumpsuit. Choose models from light but strong fabric: nylon, neoprene, rubber. Synthetic material with mirror reflectors is especially popular. It does not crease, dries quickly and is easy to clean. It is desirable that the colors of the clothes merge with the environment.

Wading boots made of rubber, polyurethane or polyvinyl chloride are suitable as shoes. They should be solid, free from cracks and not change their shape.

Additional equipment

In addition to overalls, equipment includes:

  • a balaclava hat that protects your face from wind and rain;
  • Panama with a thin mosquito net;
  • knee pads, thanks to which you can not get up from your knees for a long time;
  • thermal underwear, when it comes to the cold season;
  • gloves with which you can not expose your hands;
  • T-shirt with a flashlight built into the visor;
  • woolen socks that can be worn at any time of the year;
  • polarizing glasses that allow you to watch under water;
  • vest if you don’t know how to swim and are afraid for your health;
  • wading pants in which you can enter the water.

Food

Take along products that cook quickly and don't go bad for a long time.

The supply of drinking water and food is never superfluous. Take along food that is quickly prepared: crackers, canned food, lard, sugar, tea bags. Store products in a waterproof film, and drinking water in a flask or thermos. Use disposable tableware that can then be thrown away. As dishes, you will need a cutting board, a basin, a pot, a kettle. Do not forget about the environment: put food leftovers in special garbage bags.

First aid kit

First aid kit

If you don’t have first-aid kits during fishing, it will be difficult to provide medical assistance. Its contents are completed depending on the wishes of the owner, but there is a list of required attributes:

  • disposable gloves;
  • bandage, cotton wool, tourniquet, patch;
  • alcohol, iodine, zelenka;
  • painkillers;
  • antipyretic drugs;
  • heart medications;
  • Activated carbon;
  • medical tweezers (nippers);
  • ointments that repel insects.
If you are taking any medicine for health reasons, be sure to take it with you.

Finally, we want to say that these are not all the things necessary for fishing. Their list depends entirely on your needs and capabilities.
